The size and technological challenges of tomorrow’s large scientific instruments demand a worldwide collaboration effort. This international dimension is driving the creation of experimental platforms whose goal is to maximize the collaboration of technologists, engineers and physicists to boost technological and scientific returns on a global scale. CERN’s neutrino platform is the organization’s main contribution to a worldwide neutrino research program. It also allows to aggregate the European neutrinos community, and to bring Europe’s contribution to this scientific effort into greater relief.
Neutrinos research in particle accelerators complements the studies being carried out in cosmology, and will provide crucial information for our knowledge of the cosmos; including, for example, the nature of dark matter and the imbalance between matter and antimatter in the universe.
