This document presents the results of the 12th edition of the U-Ranking project, which aims to analyze the performance of Spanish universities and offer comparable and synthetic images of these higher education institutions.
Based on a total of 20 indicators that evaluate the results of teaching, research and innovation of universities, various classifications are developed on the overall performance of universities (U-Ranking) and their volume of results (U-Ranking Volume), as well as two other specific classifications that focus on teaching and research and innovation.
The 12th edition of U-Ranking provides information on a total of 70 Spanish universities, 48 public and 22 private, where 96% of undergraduate students in Spain study. The report classifies these 70 universities according to both their performance (U-Ranking) and their volume of results (U-Ranking Volume). It also compares the U-Ranking results with those of other well-known rankings to evaluate their similarities and differences. The report shows the teaching, research and innovation results of the universities and also provides an analysis of the sensitivity of the results to changes in the importance given to these activities. The results obtained in the 2024 edition are compared with those of 2023, and finally, the differences in the performance of the university systems of the different Spanish regions are analyzed.
The U-Ranking website features the results of the most recent edition and allows customized queries for all classifications developed by the project.
