Managing Waiting Lists in a Fair Way

Social Sciences > Economics

The situation of patients on a waiting list and the problem of managing it is an example of the simplest allocation problem: the allocation of indivisible units of a homogeneous good among a set of agents demanding one unit of the good each.

This working paper studies this situation, in both a static and dynamic framework, from an axiomatic perspective.
