Obras maestras españolas del Museo Goya de Castres
Arts
Catalogue to accompany the exhibition of the same name, organised by the BBVA Foundation. Includes a study of the 55 pieces from the 15th to 20th centuries drawn from the Goya Museum of Castres, the French museum housing the most important collection of Spanish painting after the Louvre’s.
The selection includes works by such artists as Goya, Murillo, Zurbarán, Ribera, Madrazo, Zuloagoa and Picasso, and allows for a new critical appraisal of the history of Spanish painting.
