The editors
This atlas has been prepared by the Health Inequalities Research Group (GREDS, after its Catalan name) under the direction of Dr. Joan Benach de Rovira and Dr. José Miguel Martínez Martínez, professors and researchers at the Pompeu Fabra University, in collaboration with researchers from the MEDEA group in Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Seville, Valencia and Zaragoza.
GREDS and its collaborators have prepared several atlases of mortality applying to Spain and Catalonia, using areas of small size (small areas), formed by municipalities or aggregated municipalities and even census tracts within municipalities.
